A device for reducing the siltation of the front chamber of the pumping station in irrigation systems

It has been determined that the reduction of siltation front chamber is necessary because deposited sediments seriously violate planned hydraulic structure flow when water sucked up by pumps, as a result which their efficiency decreases. The method calculating pipeline system new device designed to significantly reduce irrigation pumping stations artificially creating turbulence in bottom layer presented. This calculation methodology based on use theory flooded jets, makes it possible determine main characteristics jet. latter allows design parameters system. results experimental studies are presented compare calculated data with experiments, well effectiveness proposed for significant stations.
